Requirements to Earn the Certified Security Systems Integrator Certification
Must hold an active ESA Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) Level I or higher (ESA/NTS or accredited) certificate.
Must have 36 months work history (proven by submitting work verification) or have held ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level I for 36 months or more.
Then successfully complete four (4) additional courses of study within the previous five years:
- Electronic Access Control (EAC) course, or the online equivalent, and pass the proctored multiple-choice examination
- Video Systems Technician (VST) course, or the online equivalent, and pass the proctored multiple-choice examination
- Either the Life Safety Code (LSC) course, or the online equivalent, and pass the proctored multiple-choice examination or the International Building Code (IBC) course and pass the proctored multiple-choice examination
- Fundamentals of Networking course online
